Every GrowWell story so far has been building toward this moment. It started with an idea: that children learn to understand their emotions best when the adults around them are equipped to guide, not just instruct. From there came the storytelling model and guided-reflection approach that shape the series, then Nori — the character who brings that idea to life on screen — and the quiet, steady work of turning scripts and storyboards into real animation. Each step has been about getting the foundation right before asking anyone to build on it.

Now comes the part that turns all of that into something adults can actually use: registrations are open for the GrowWell Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) training programme, built to meet educators and parents/caregivers exactly where they are.

Why a Training for Both Educators and Parents/Caregivers

GrowWell was designed around a simple belief: children develop social-emotional skills most effectively when they are supported in understanding experiences themselves, rather than simply told what to think or feel. That kind of support doesn’t only happen in a classroom — it happens just as often at the dinner table, during a bedtime conversation, or in the middle of a difficult afternoon at home.

Bringing educators and parents/caregivers into the same programme reflects that reality: children move between these two worlds every day, and GrowWell’s training is designed to equip both.

For Educators: Building Confidence Before Building Curriculum

The educator track is structured around a progression: start with the educator, then move outward to the classroom, and finish by putting new skills into practice.

• Well-being first: practical strategies for managing stress and building resilience, on the idea that a calmer classroom starts with a calmer adult in it
• Bringing SEL into daily practice: guidance on weaving GrowWell’s animated videos, lesson plans, and outdoor activities into an ordinary teaching week, so SEL becomes routine rather than an add-on
• Digital planning skills: hands-on use of tools like Canva and AI to design SEL materials suited to a specific classroom’s needs
• Applying it with peers: a collaborative session where educators put their new digital skills into practice, creating original resources alongside colleagues

For Parents and Caregivers: Support That Travels Home

The parent and caregiver track is built to carry the same ideas across the school gate, moving from mindset to practical technique to everyday habit.

• Recognising your role: reframing parents and caregivers as a child’s first and most constant teacher of emotional life
• Tools for hard moments: simple, practical techniques for managing emotions and navigating difficult conversations with children
• Building a supportive home: everyday habits that encourage resilience, a growth mindset, and open family communication

GrowWell has opened registration early — giving educators and parents/caregivers the chance to secure their place while the training content continues to be developed.
