We are an educational institution based in Samobor, working with dozens of partners across Croatia and building programmes that connect neuroscience, education and practical skill development.

Littera began 30 years ago as a foreign language school. Over time, we expanded beyond languages into cognitive development and holistic learning. Today, we are the Croatian franchisee for ALOHA Mental Arithmetic, one of the world’s leading brain-based mental arithmetic programmes.

Alongside international partnerships, we have developed our own original programme, Mali divovi (Little Giants) — a comprehensive early childhood programme built around imagination, learning and growth.

Through our MindBodyLab programmes, we also integrate mindfulness, self-regulation and wellbeing into education for children, educators and adults.

What started as a language school has evolved into a multi-layered educational ecosystem that supports children, educators and families across generations.

Our contribution

for the Grow Well project

Within GrowWell, we contribute our expertise at the intersection of research and practice. As both scientists and long-term educational practitioners, we focus on connecting neuroscience-informed knowledge with real-world learning environments.

Our role centres on developing and refining educational frameworks that integrate wellbeing, social-emotional learning and cognitive development. We contribute conceptual design, pedagogical structure and methodological input, drawing on nearly three decades of experience in programme development, educator training and family engagement.

We support the partnership by translating scientific insight into clear, applicable models that can be adapted across different educational contexts. Our contribution ensures that wellbeing is not treated as an abstract concept, but as a practical, measurable and sustainable element of everyday learning.
